Dr. Parin Dossa (SFU, Department of Sociology and Anthropology) will run a teach-in on “Women’s Rights and Women-led Activism” at UBC (BC Hydro Theatre – CIRS Building) with a focus on Iran.
Organized by the UBC Persian Club and co-sponsored by UBC Middle East Studies and Anthropology, the event is the first “Baraye Iran” teach-in and community discussions event, a series of academic/activist lectures and discussions in light of the ongoing situation in Iran. The first hour of this event will be facilitated by Dr. Dossa, and the second half will be a space for community engagement and mutual support.
